Core Team

Dr. Bipun Man Pati
I am a Senior Assistant Professor and Chief of the AI Research Center at the Advanced College of Engineering and Management, Tribhuvan University, contributing to advancements in AI, telecommunication engineering, and deep learning.I earned my Bachelor’s in Information Technology from Nepal College of Information Technology in 2010, a Master’s in Telecommunication Engineering from AIT, Thailand, in 2016, and a Doctorate from AIT in 2020. I later served as a C2F Postdoctoral Fellow at Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok.

Bishnu Khadka
I am a Research Assistant at the AI Research Center of the Advanced College of Engineering and Management, working in collaboration with BASF, Germany. My research spans computer vision, meta-learning, and tabular deep learning, with a focus on developing and optimizing deep learning models for real-world applications. I received grant funding from the National College of Engineering for my research on waste detection using deep learning algorithms, contributing to environmental monitoring and sustainability efforts.

Ukesh Thapa
I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering from the Advanced College of Engineering and Management, Nepal, in 2022. My research interests span AI architecture development, optimization, medical imaging, wireless communication, and bioinformatics. Currently, I serve as an instructor at the Advanced College of Engineering and Management and am also a Research Assistant at the AI Research Center, where I continue to contribute to cutting-edge advancements in AI.
Ongoing Projects
River Waste Detection System
Developing an advanced computer vision system for detecting and monitoring waste in Nepal’s river systems using state-of-the-art Object Detection and Image Segmentation techniques. This project aims to support environmental conservation efforts and improve water quality monitoring.
BASF Research Collaboration
Strategic research partnership with BASF, Germany, focusing on innovative AI applications in industrial processes. This collaboration brings together expertise from both institutions to solve complex industrial challenges.
